Wash & Store Blankets and Scarves

Hand wash in lukewarm water using your hair shampoo, making sure the shampoo is fully dissolved before adding the blanket or scarves. Rinse with hair conditioner to make your Cashmere blanket or scarves softer. Always wash colored garments separately.
Do not bleach.
Gently squeeze without twisting or wringing. Twisting wet blankets or scarves can distort their shape, especially for delicate pashmina items.
Lay flat to dry after squeezing out excess water, keeping it away from direct heat and sunlight.
Use a damp cloth and a cool iron, pressing on the inside of the garment, or opt for steam ironing if preferred.

Fold your clothes or pack them neatly in tissue paper or plastic bags, then store them in a closet away from light, dust, and moisture.

To protect woolens from moth infestations, mothballs (naphthalene) and cedar chips are common go-to solutions.

A well-sealed plastic storage box works perfectly, and a see-through one is even better for spotting any moisture inside. Just ensure the box is completely dry before storing your luxurious Cashmere blanket.
To keep moths at bay, start by ensuring the blanket is clean before storing it long-term. Be extra cautious about food stains, as moths are highly attracted to food proteins and cooking oils. Moth-proofing products can be useful, or you can spray some perfume on a piece of paper and place it next to your blankets inside the storage box.
